LIVING THE ISLAND LIFE IN THE CANARY ISLANDS - FUERTEVENTURA AND GRANDE CANARIA

mercredi 23 décembre 2015

I wanted to write three posts about the Canary Islands but I realized that I didn't stay long enough to Fuerteventura to dedicate a whole post to it.
I stayed only a day in Fuerteventura and it is a really fabulous Island, you feel like you're in a desert but yet when you turned your head you see the ocean, it feels like an endless beach, one you can get lost into...and you know how much I love getting lost, to me it is the best way of finding your true self! You are never lost, you are waiting for the right path to show itself!
Then I went to Jandia, amazing touristic town, you have souvenir shops and brand shops in front of the beach...with the sun out it is pretty amazing!
When it comes to Grande Canaria, if you're on holidays it is the perfect island, nearby Africa, it's always warm and sunny, you can wander throughout old little towns, and harbors...
Or just like I did, switching between the pool and the sea, petting kittens and watching a surf competition...you can run in the dunes of Maspalomas or go on a hike, your choice to make, Grande Canaria offers you everything you need, you can be whoever you wanna be!!

if you had to, who would you be?

LIVING THE ISLAND LIFE IN THE CANARY ISLANDS - LANZAROTE

lundi 21 décembre 2015

When you haven't travel for so long, you start to forget how amazing it is!
Just to discover a new place, new people, what's their story and how they live...I had that feeling back when I traveled to the Canary Island, and it was amazing to feel that again.
Lanzarote, the first of the three island I've been, is a Volcanic Island, everything there is ashes and lava turned into rocks, and it made the landscape unique and curious to see, I had never seen that before, and I've seen many landscapes.
Visiting the Timanfaya national park is something I don't regret for a second, I hold Lava in my hands!!! What a feeling it is..well it's hot!! even if it already turned into small stones, the lava hasn't already cooled off.
The landscape made me think, a little bit, of a Post-apocalyptic world and it was really interesting to observe, I couldn't find any tree, there were some shrubs but no trees, beaches of black sands and sun even in december...compared to France it is perfect weather in winter, since the island is very close to Africa!
I stand up on lava cliffs, to see the perfect blue sea and I ate in a restaurant that was inside a volcano cave.
We can definitively say that if you don't want to spend winter in the cold you can go to the Canary Island, 26°c during December is totally fine by me!!

What about you, where is your perfect place to spend winter?

READY FOR ADVENTURE!!!!

dimanche 6 décembre 2015

You're taking pictures such as the ones above, and dressed like Indiana Jones!!
Personally, I am a huge fan of adventure movies, Indiana Jones, The Mummy (especially the Mummy), Lord of the rings and more modern The secret life of Walter Mitty....All this to say that that kind of movies have greatly influenced the person I am today.
Now I am part of the few people that thinks life isn't just about how society describes it, but that it is something more, it is an adventure!
Now the perfect shop to feel more like it is "Nature et Découverte". This one is my favorite, you can find anything and everything you wish...And I would  I know about it, my family and friends bought me soo many stuff in there that I could re-open a shop on my own!!!
I've got knives, a compass, a map, a survival kit, a solar battery, a diary and a lot more that I didn't show in here, like heated cushion a Navaro stool and more stuff like that...My wish, being sponsored by them one day, that would be AWESOME!!!
Now I only have to pack this stuff in my suitcase and go somewhere I'll use them, what about the Amazonian rainforest? Is it a good plan? Probably, I'll do it sometimes soon I hope, but for now I am packing for the Canary Island in approximately 10 days, that's going to be amazing, then in one month exactly from my departure to the Canary, I'll leave for Amsterdam, so the 15th of January (Yes, finally going!!).
My next post is probably going to be about what I will pack with me for the Canary Island, are you interested in it?

What do you think influenced you as a child and made you to the person you are now?
