UNUSUAL WEEKEND IN A TREEHOUSE!!!

mardi 13 juin 2017

After waiting 8 months, I finally got to see what my birthday present was...waking up on a sunny Saturday, my backpack ready for a great adventure filled with what my friends told me, for over 8 months I only had clues to guess what my present was.

2 pm, they finally park in front of my house, and the journey can begin, I knew what my present was kind of but still, I had no idea where it was, after two and a half hours driving, we arrived at Low-Normandy in Médizon...
The sun's still with us, I discovered a farm surrounded by a forest, we were about to sleep in a tree house in a middle of a farm...that present was one of the best I've ever had, nothing around us but a creek, animals, and trees!

For dinner

The owner of the farm arrived in a small car delivering a basket filled with sausages, butter, cider and water then for dinner we had duck with green beans, potatoes, and carrots, for dessert cheese and bread before eating the famous apple pie of Normandy (I have to say that it was super good even though I don't like green beans potatoes and apple pies haha).

Sun comes down and we prepared ourselves to go to bed after an amazing game night (discovering things about us that we didn't know...our friendship is the best...but after discovering so many things about each other we can consider ourselves as a family...because now it goes beyond friendship!!)

Waking up at 5.30 am

To see the sunrise, we spend one-hour chasing spiders before we went to bed (lucky us there was a small shovel inside the tree house) so let's say that I didn't sleep much after that!

But waking up so early was the best idea we had, the place was so quiet, it was like the entire world was asleep except us, the morning dew was a pure beauty for the eyes, we felt like we were in a Jane Austin book. The sun barely rising, the rays of the sun trying to break through the forest, and finally, we arrived in the field, the sunrise was amazing to see, the light was perfect, the animals waking up slowly and us taking pictures...lots of pictures...Then we went back to the treehouse for breakfast (croissant, bread, salty butter, strawberry royal jelly and apple juice) and that was it, my birthday present came to an end, but really that was amazing I felt like Robinson Crusoe, except that I was in a forest and not stuck on an Island!

Backpack Lists:

- Un k-way

Because I'm super nice I translated it!

"Dear Emilie, besides the traditional toothbrush and your camera, as well as your sunglasses, you'll need a few little things to fill up your suitcase, as you may know.
Very foresighted Emeline and I have concocted you not ONE but TWO travel lists so that you can choose your dream destination.
Be careful though, not to prepare the wrong suitcase...you might be annoyed once you get there!

1) Ken List (because you are worth it)
- Swimsuit
- Flipflops
- Diving mask
- Sunscreen
- A survival magazine in a sandy environment
- A hat
- A light nightie (ou la la)
- Nail Polish
- An after sun
- Biafine
- Bath towel

2) Tarzan List ( I won't dare write that you are worth it, considering his hairiness, but nevertheless, Tarzan is a Badass!)
- A raincoat
- A pair of sneakers
- A pair of binoculars
- A flashlight
- A guide to survival in hostile environments
- A pair of warm socks
- A warm pajama + a sweat
- A roll of paper toilet (we know each other pretty well now)
-Anti- Mosquito repellent
- Bandages
- A towel
Enjoy!

Ps: as you have several teeth, Emilie, I add an "s" to Toothbrush

Cam' and Em'

These are the lists for my backpack,  I had to choose between them and not get the wrong one haha, I would have felt stupid with my sunscreen and my diving mask for the weekend in a farm.
