NATURAL BEAUTY!!!

Like I've told you before Beauty posts aren't really my thing but I've decided to open up my horizons and try some from time to time, and I'm doing my best so that they're always related to what we need during our travels.

Well, I think that you'll find this post to be quite interesting because I'm pretty sure that what I am going to talk about is important as much in your daily life as it is in your traveling times.

Let's go back to September 7th when I received an email from Reviews.com, sharing with me their Natural deodorant guide...yes you've got it, this post is about DEODORANT, but not just any deodorant, natural aluminum-free deodorant.

What is Reviews.com?

Reviews.com is a website that does research about pretty much everything that we consume, they give us the best advice about anything and everything to prevent us from doing infinite googling.

After reading their NATURAL DEODORANT GUIDE I found some familiar names...indeed I had heard about many of those deodorants and even using one for at least a year. Yes, it is possible to fall in love with a deodorant, I found the perfect one for me...Schmidt's Deodorant Bergamot and lime.

I think you'll find it interesting to read what they say about deodorant and maybe find the one that is made for you, I am very interested in their research and can't wait to test other deodorants!

SCHMIDT'S NATURAL DEO

Here is the one I use.





I first discovered it in my older sister's Birchbox, and I can't live without it anymore!

The strong scent of lime makes you feel fresh all day long even after a long day, I tried it after a run and I still smelt fresh, no smell of sweat, it doesn't keep you from sweating though, we all know that sweating is something good and not to prevent.

You have many scents so don't worry if you don't like bergamot and Lime.

For the others that Reviews.com propose in their Guide, I haven't tested them but I've heard a lot and did some research of my own, especially about SAM'S NATURAL DEODORANT, it's a shame though that they don't deliver in France, but I'm sure you can test it in lots of other parts of the world and I can't wait for you to leave me a comment and tell me what you think of it.

They also talk about For Pit's sake deo, Green Tiding, Fatco stank stop deo and Agent Nateur & Shiva rose holi deo... you can read in their review what they found about them, personally I only ever heard about Schmidt's, Sam's and For Pit's Sake deodorant, and from what I understood they still have a lot to learn about the last three ones.

I think that  natural beauty is very important, especially for deodorant...it is important to know what we put on our body  and knowing that they're aluminium-free is all that matters to me, when I'm traveling I can take my deodorant in my bag in the cabin and I know that it won't harm me or the planet, it's like having a natural shampoo while bathing in a river, you don't want to pollute the river? well, then its more than natural to do the same with your body.

WHAT A BEAUTY !!!

I know I've been away this past few month, I had a lot to do and well like almost everyone I work full time...so sometimes I get lazy and tired haha!
I don't usually do beauty post but I've decided to open up my horizons...and I'm pretty sure that what I'm about to talk about we'll all agree that we need it during our traveling times!

To start properly let's go back to the beginning...how did I end up at the Fit'ballet event presented by Wilkinson, which was at first organized for beauty bloggers...well my amazing cousin/sister/twin is actually a Beauty Blogger (amazing one by the way):

So it's my cousin that was invited at first to this event, and asked me to come along...of course, I totally said yes...

THE PROGRAM OF THE EVENING

Wilkinson introduced us to the FIT'BALLET created by Octavie Escure, a sport I didn't know anything about, it's a mix between Cross'fit and the Ballet...I find it very, hugely...hard, I'm not a grand sports person, except when I have to run after my train or my plane otherwise I don't do much...but it was super interesting, I've always been fascinated by Ballet and there was my chance to try some!

after doing some exercise with Octavie herself, we moved to the Wilkinson part of the evening, introducing their new collections of razors:

WILKINSON INTUITION island Berry

I fell in love with it, what's written on the box:
"Razor with four blades surrounded by soap solid that lathers and shaves in one step"
I'm super happy with it, tried it for about a month now and never had a problem, the soap smells super good and it actually foam like real soap would do, the packaging is modern and adapted to our women's grip, men and women have different ways of holding razors, I didn't know that they actually studied that kind of stuff (I told you I'm no expert when it comes to describing beauty products).

Of course, the only problem is that you can't take it with you on travels if you only have cabin baggage.

WILKINSON HYDRO SILK bikini

" shaving and trimming in one simple tool"  what's written on the box:
"Razor with five blades for close shave + waterproof bikini trimmer"
I'm not going to write all about how a do my bikini but just so you know it works pretty nicely, the trim is adjustable and there is a serum inside the razor part that is activated by water and makes you skins ask for more!
The packaging of the new collection is very nice, new shiny colors, it's actually modern and well we all know that marketing works on us and we'd rather buy something that looks pretty than the other way around!

PRICE: 14,79€

After the presentation of the new collection, there was a meeting with a french Dermatologist (Marie Estelle Roux) who explain to us that shaving actually never reduced the tanning of our skin but made it, on the contrary, look brighter, and as the same properties as a scrub. Something else we had the chance to discover with her, we can expose our leg to the sun after a sweet shave, but it's better not to do so with other kinds of hair removal, like lasers or epilator.

And finally like we say in french "Après l'effort, le réconfort", not sure you should eat like that, right after sport, it's not really productive, but I had a cucumber-mint detox juice, and a cupcake (I couldn't resist!!!)

MY TRAVEL MAKE UP ROUTINE!!

THE MOISTURIZERS

I usually start my travel makeup routine with the Moisturizer from GARNIER skin natural, this one is called Crème Bienfaisante Nutritive (Nutritive Healing Cream). Well I use it when I'm not too much in a hurry otherwise I just go with the BBcream, but it is important to hydrate your skin while travelling, because most of the time we're outdoors, making our skin dealing with dry air, moist air, whatever...we're not usually nice with our face and body that's why I use this cream.

I normally do this at the end of my makeup but it's a moisturizing cream soo...

This one is called SHEA hand cream from THE BODY SHOP like I said, we're not nice to our face and body while traveling, this year except for Australia, I traveled in what we can call Cold countries...between Scotland and Ireland, my hands had a pretty rough time around!!

But to come clean, I basically bought it because it smells really really good, and it is 30ml so I can have it in my hand bag during the flight, but it doesn't prevent this cream from protecting and moisturizing my poor hands!

FOUNDATIONS

Then for my foundation, I use the BBcream+BLUR from GARNIER I took it in light shades because as you can see I've got a pretty fair skin, I really like this BB creams because as well as being a moisturizer, it is also a concealer and blend with your skin, to leave you with a flawless skin.


After that, to give my face a little bit of color during the summer, I put on a SEPHORA powder, it is named BRONZING POWDER.
When you open it at first it looks really dark, but that's normal, you really have to be careful not to put on too much...blend it good and you'll look like someone that's been Under the tropics sun...while in reality, you've just spent your summer under Irish rain!
Also, I love the smell of it, this powder smells like cocoa...I do love it!



EYES AND LIPS

 So once I'm over with the foundation, I start with the mascara and use the SCANDALEYES mascara EXTREME BLACK from RIMMEL LONDON, that one really is my favorite, first because of the packaging...I was born two days before Halloween, so I'm kind of into those color...so black and orange...love it!
Then like it's written on it, it is extremely black, it makes my lashes darker and adds some volume.

 Finally, the lipstick...it is a ROUGE SHINE ( RED SHINE) from SEPHORA, I had that one as a gift for my birthday last year and I really loved the color, at first you feel like it makes your lips dryer but the feeling doesn't last and then it is rather good, and it add some shiny color to your face when like me you choose a more natural style.

 To end it all, I have a pretty natural Makeup, nice for summer and winter (just don't add the Bronzing Powder), and all this takes me five minutes each morning, sometimes three if I am in a hurry because I don't put on the Garnier Moisturizer and the Bronzing Powder... which kind of makes me look like a zombie!!

Make-up Story

It was right here, that moment you're sharing with your siblings, parents or just family and friends, those moments, casual yet unique, you're feeling good, happy...it can only last an instant, but that's what life is made of, right?...instant.

I just spend one hour with my two lovely sisters, watching my older sister getting ready for her Saturday night and having fun with my little sister and a camera, taking pictures of my older sister, marking the instant so it will never faint, so we'll always remember the fun we had that night.
