MY DIARIES ARE OUT!!!

vendredi 13 novembre 2015

It's strange how things trends to evolve, you remember how you used to be when you were younger and you notice how much you've changed.
When it comes to me, well I remember how lost I was in life, the stupidest of all, was at school, I wasn't great at anything, really I was the same in everything, I did not have one subject I was great at.

At school, you always have that person who's better than everyone else and I didn't have that, you can trust me when I tell you that it use to bother me real hard!
A few years after, I started to show some interest in Tv Shows, English, and American ones and it irrevocably changed things for me, I started to get better in English, then better than the majority, and finally, over the years I was the best!
And today it makes me smile to remember how important it was for me, to find a purpose at school, because after that, after English, I still was lost, in what I wanted to do with my life, all my friends had such a clear idea of what they wanted, I was the only one to see things different!
I was, and still am, a dreamer, I see life as it is, UNIQUE, "we only have but one life, so let's live it!!" that's my saying, some may not agree and I won't argue with you, you see life like it pleases you, but I think that we can't ruin it to please others.
In all my diaries, I cry, I complain, fell sad, happy, angry and sad again, all because I was still trying to be what others wanted me to be, to follow some stupid path that wasn't mine....then I discovered the world of travel and travelers and I can see that it has always been where I belong.
If I took some step back earlier, I could have seen it before, if I just took all my diaries like I did and put them next to one another, I could have seen the evolution, my diaries (which contains my feeling, my insecurities, my fears) had turned with time into travel diaries (which are my strength, my goal, my life) everyone does not see life as I do, I believe in destiny and my diaries were just a way to guide me, to the person I was supposed to be from the beginning!
I never knew exactly why I had to write down everything in gorgeous diaries, now I know, I am not lost anymore, I still am a dreamer, but I'm part of a group that sees life and the world differently, full of colors and cultures, a world of wanderlust!

Tell me, which object show you, your own evolution?

IF YOU DON'T GO TO RUSSIA, RUSSIA WILL COME TO YOU!!

dimanche 1 novembre 2015

I want to say thank you to two of my best friends for organizing this birthday supper for me. They both know I have some issue with Russia... They don't understand why I absolutely want to learn Russian and then to go there, but they know how important it is for me to do this...
So...they couldn't send me to Russia for my birthday, instead they organized a Russian dinner, one of them cooked all day to do it, she did not go to a restaurant to order, no... she cooked the whole thing, isn't she amazing? When I arrive at her place she was like "if you don't go to Russia, Russia will come to you!"

Russian cucumber salad

Pietrojki Russe

Vatrushka

My god...I love you!!!! It was great...even better than great, the meal was amazing, I even got presents, like the whole dinner wasn't enough!
I think of it has a really good idea, if you cannot go somewhere for any reason, one special night is all you need while waiting to go there, but there is a catch to this, it make you want to go more, you eat like there, you drink like there, the place is decorated like over there, then you just wish you were there, buy a plane ticket, book a hotel and leave!! Told you there was a catch.
I still had fun, and I think it was a brilliant idea.

What do you think of it? Is it a good idea? Would you do it? Where do you want to go next?

HOW MY DECEPTION FOR NOT GOING TO AMSTERDAM GETS REWARDED BY GOING TO THE CANARY ISLANDS!!

samedi 24 octobre 2015

Everything began on Wednesday, October 21st, 2015, when my friends and I regrouped in a Tapas Bar named "El Toro", which is quite nice by the way!
Well, we regrouped to talk about our soon to come weekend trip in the great city of Amsterdam on October 30th, happy girl that I am to go in Amsterdam on my birthday (the trip wasn't planned for my birthday but come'on they choose the date of my B-day weekend!!).
Well, my happiness did not last very long, since one of our "dearest" friends decided to call off on us...problem is, she was the one with the freaking car!!!
Totally disappointed, I want to cry my soul out, thanks to that girl, Amsterdam is now postponed to January 8th, 2016....I go home almost crying like a spoiled brat who didn't get what she wanted!!
The day after that I go to work, like every Thursday, trying to face quite normal, it didn't last either because while opening my email box I found ... not one but TWO email named something like "Fancy a weekend in Amsterdam?? Book with us!!" or "Amsterdam...the favorite destination for October"...PLEASE END ME NOW!!!
Then after watching my computer with a look that could kill a ghost...I go back to work has it almost never happened.
You think that my torment is over?...haha...no it is not! my colleague, seeing my sad face tried to cheer me up by telling me this "hey girl!! come I'll show you what you can visit in Amsterdam for your weekend, you'll have so much fun, Lucky you!", at this point, I was pretty sure... I had done something wrong and God or karma, or any forces in this great universe had something against me!
I go back to my post depressed like hell, when finally my boss came at me, telling me that he has a great news for me...at first I thought "he is going to finish me off with Amsterdam" well I waited, trying to figure out what he was going to announce me, finally he said "what do you think about ME sending YOU to the Canary Islands in December?"
"WAIT, WHAT????" was my first reaction (Inside my head of course).
Real reaction "I would LOVE it!!", "great I put your name on the list for it"....MEN, sometimes I really do love that job!!!
That's how I went from disillusion to amazingness in one day!!

What about you, tell me about your despair!!

WHAT TO DO FOR A WEEK IN LONDON !!

samedi 17 octobre 2015

N°1 Big Ben
Of course, you go to see Big Ben it's like the most important monument to see in London, according to to...well...almost everyone! You can't go home and tell your family and friends that you've been to London but you haven't seen Big Ben, it's like coming to Paris without seeing the Eiffel tower...aka NOT POSSIBLE!

N°2 Buckingham Palace
Well, I know that my picture isn't the best one of Buckingham but when I saw Australia written on it I couldn't ...not take that photo!! but I loved the fountain with the lions and all, the guards and their hats, amazing!

N°3 London Film Museum
It's not essential, the museum is rather nice, but not amazing, it is free though so if there's a moment when you don't know what to do you still can go over there, it's cool if it is raining outside and you're waiting to walk into a park or anything.

 N°4 The National British Museum
That one is very IMPORTANT, essential, everything, I've been there twice and I'll go again, I loved it and if you love museums that one must be on your TO DO LIST!!!!
 N°5 Sherlock Holmes House
Sherlock Holmes lovers you will like this one, enter into Holmes's hair, then buy everything you want in the shop...that one was my favorite part.

 N°6 The Tower Of London
No need for me to tell you that the Tower of London is the ESSENTIAL place you have to visit, it's like Big Ben you HAVE to visit it, it's not an option if you want to say that you've come to London!!
 N°7 London's Bridge
Amazing Vue, amazing place, a need to go, nothing more to say about!
N°8 Go to Restaurant with Funny Names
Yes I know I am taking a photo because the name of the restaurant is odd, come on, the guy named his restaurant "wee-wee" I couldn't resist!!
N°9 Shakespear Theater
Last but not the least, Shakespear Theater, not the real one, this one is a replica, because the real one is in the countryside somewhere, but the one in London still is great to visit!!

I've been to London two years ago for Halloween, of course, I've been to London many times since but not for Halloween and it changes everything!!
The city feels different, like you go to the London Dungeon which tells you all the horror tales of London, Like Jack the Reaper and all!!! then you prepare yourself for parties, in pubs, clubs or at friends, everybody is dressed up as Witches, ghost, vampires, demons etc...weird music, weird people, all fun, all night!
I love HALLOWEEN, my favorite party, probably because I celebrate my birthday at the same time...it's pretty cool I think!

What's your favorite party of the year?

THE TRAVELER'S BLUES

vendredi 2 octobre 2015

Ah, my friends, you know what it is, right? we all felt it at some point, us travel lovers, that terrible moment when we get back home after a certain period of time abroad, exploring, living our own life, and then you're home, you are happy for the first three weeks because you get to see the people you left behind while chasing your dream.
Then you start to feel like you're trapped all over again in that restraining cage, with all those people around you having those great expectations for you. They want you to go back to your studies or get a job, a "real job" (whatever that means), they want you to do what "normal" people do, they almost tell you to grow up and follow the "normal" path, the path of society.
But they just don't get it, they don't understand that traveling actually is a lifestyle, that we need to travel, to see the world and explore to be happy, push our limits, find our own way and not the one people dictate us.
I want to see and understand the world, not to restrain myself to a life other people think is the best for me just because it is the "normal" thing to do!
And that's mostly what the traveler's blues is, being told by other people that your dreams are just that...a dream and that you can fulfill it but only after having several degrees, a job, a car, and a house, actually, once you have the same life as everybody else.
Well don't go all depressing, the only cure for the traveler's blues is to go back, or at least plan another trip...I may have come back home, after Australia and I was happy for three days and then devastated for like two whole weeks when I decided that I was leaving again, so I left for England, then right away I went to Scotland,  after that I was leaving for Ireland, I barely spent four months at home on nine , and then in three weeks I am going to Amsterdam and for Christmas I've planned to go back to London...that is the only way that you'll feel better, for those like me who were touch by the wanderlust, it is impossible to stay put for too long, but just knowing that you'll leave sometime soon...makes you feel happy all over again!!
Don't forget that the only thing stopping you for what you want to do... is yourself, don't wait for people to tell you how to live your life...to see the world, things dangerous to come to, to see behind walls, draw closer, to find each other and to feel. That is the purpose of LIFE" I know I Watch too many movies but when I heard that quote...I just fell in love with it, it is soo inspiring!!

Don't you think?

MY TRAVEL BUCKET LIST

mercredi 23 septembre 2015

Like a lot of people, I've got a Bucket List of my own....A very very long one!!
But thanks to my strong will and my infinite wanderlust I've succeeded to achieve some "to do" of that list. Like hiking in Scotland, drinking Guinness in Ireland, celebrating my 16th birthday and walking in the Halloween parade in New York, backpacking in Australia, Partying in Portugal and some other stuff, but here's some (not everything) "to do" on my bucket list that I haven't done yet and I absolutely want to do!

N°1- Participate in an expedition to Antarctica with National Geographic

For some mysterious reason I've always wanted to work with National Geographic, maybe because of my adventurous spirit, but that doesn't really explain why Antarctica...well I find Antarctica to be the wildest country ever, perhaps because it isn't owned by any country, so no government, no people, just wild animals...going on an expedition there must be amazing!

N°2- Going to the Holi festival in India

I love partying, traveling and I love colors...I couldn't participate to the Holifest here in France, so I told myself that if I didn't participate here I'd just better go to India and celebrate there. Not a lot of people want to go there anymore, I think it's a shame, India is a country full a story and believes...amazing!!

N°3- See the Northern Lights in Iceland or Norway

I've always wanted to see them, what a beautiful show that must be! I am pretty sure that I'll cry the first time I'll see them!
But when it comes to Iceland, it is the movie "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" that made me wanna travel to Iceland and Greenland, if you haven't Watch the movie, well you should, it is amazing!!

N°4- Sleep in an Igloo in Norway

That must be fantastic, plus in some igloo, you can observe the Northern Lights!

N°5- Be in two places at the same time

Lucky me this is going to be possible this summer since I'm going to dive in between two tectonic plates in Iceland, so I'll be in America and Europe at the same time...can't wait to do it!

N°6- Go to Coachella in the USA

USA is one of the countries I want to travel most, I've only been to New York so far, but some day I'll just rent a car and hit the Route 66, then go to New Orléans during Mardi Gras.... And while I'm here, I'll go to Coachella, that trip is going to take me years of preparations!!! looking forward to it...

N°7- Improve my Russian in Moscow and Saint-Petersburg

Russia is one of my top list "wanna visit" for a very long time, that's why I am Learning Russian, it's still very basic but I'll get better, a friend of mine just told me she would like to go some day, well baby... I can't wait for this day to come!

N°8- Visit the Egyptian Temples and dive in Egypt

Ever since I watched "the Mummy" I am obsessed with Egypt, Hieroglyphs, ancient Egypt, ancient Gods, and Temples. And the more I grow up, the more I feel attracted to it, unfortunately, the only thing holding me is the situation over there, but one day I'll come over and go there before they all disappear.

N°9- Visit Dracula's Castle in Transylvania/ Romania

Well it may or may not be a surprise for you but I am a supernatural addict (and I am not just talking about the show !) Werewolves, Witches and Vampires are my little addiction, so visiting Dracula's castle is like a child dream. Once I've done that I can die happy...just kidding but almost true!

N°10- Go and visit the BlackjaguarWhitetiger foundation in Mexico

I've known them for about a year now and I am amazed by what they do, I follow them on every social media I can and I've done some donation and written to them, I really am impressed with what they do and I am a feline lover so, couldn't support them more!

N°11- Climbing the Himalayas in Tibet

I'm sure I can do it if I don't lose my breath at the beginning, I climbed the Uluru so I can do it right? (that's Ironic of course)

N°12- Go to Sri Lanka just because it looks beautiful

I've seen some landscape of Sri Lanka while I was working as a cashier, just in front of me was that travel agency and their screen was always playing amazing destinations and then I saw it, Sri Lanka...the night after that, I was watching a tv show and guess where they were going...yep yep in Sri Lanka. That is at this exact moment that I've decided... I'll go there one day.

N°13- Do some Dogs sled, learn how to do maple syrup and Visit friends in Canada

Dogs sled must be fun, and I love husky so it is perfect... And Maple Syrup, that's just for the fun of it, then I'll take some time over there to visit Canadian friends I've made along my trip to Ireland.

N°14- Go on an Expedition in the Amazon Rainforest

Don't ask me why I like expeditions...I'm feeling like Indiana Jones and I love that feeling...Rainforest, because I want to participate and do something in order to save it!

N°15- Surf in Bali

Why not?

N°16- Learn how to meditate with Buddhist monks

Yes, I have some weird stuff on my bucket list, but that could be really nice to do that!

N°17- Go to Hawaii with my family

We're talking about bringing my mother in Hawaii for soo long that, I'm gonna do whatever it takes to make sure that it happens...

N°18- Visit the Machu Picchu in Peru

That is the one I'm sure to achieve in the years to come, it is popular and I've got a lot of friends who wanna go as well...so see you soon Peru!

N°19- Visiting a friend in Brazil

I haven't seen my friend in a long time...but I swear the first chance I have got to go to Brazil, I'll come and pay you a visit...then I'll go to Rio de Janeiro!

N°20- Teach English in  Cambodia

Why Cambodia? No clue, maybe because I've met Cambodian people and they were amazing or perhaps because Cambodia is a wonderful country ( don't know...never been there) so I'll go there and see for myself what I can do.

N°21- Swim with sea Lions in Galapagos or somewhere else

I don't know where else you can swim with sea Lions that why said Galapagos if you know other places please leave it in the comment below!

N°22- Swim with whales

I don't really care where, I just want to swim with whales, in Dominica, Africa, Maldives, Australia or Mexico or some place else, as long as I can swim among these beautiful creatures!

N°23- Do a Safari in Africa

I can't believe I didn't write it sooner, it's one of my first dreams since I wanted to be a wildlife Vet when I was a child haha.

N°24- See Penguins in the wild 𝞿

Penguins are one of my favorites animals, I've seen them in Australia and I can't wait to see them somewhere else!

There...I've shown you some of my Bucket List, it is a really long one because I want to travel the world and experience everything. The world is our home, why reduce ourselves by staying in our bedroom!

What about you? what's on your bucket list?

PS: the symbol 𝞅 means that's I've done it.

MY TRAVEL MAKE UP ROUTINE!!

samedi 5 septembre 2015

THE MOISTURIZERS

I usually start my travel makeup routine with the Moisturizer from GARNIER skin natural, this one is called Crème Bienfaisante Nutritive (Nutritive Healing Cream). Well I use it when I'm not too much in a hurry otherwise I just go with the BBcream, but it is important to hydrate your skin while travelling, because most of the time we're outdoors, making our skin dealing with dry air, moist air, whatever...we're not usually nice with our face and body that's why I use this cream.

I normally do this at the end of my makeup but it's a moisturizing cream soo...
This one is called SHEA hand cream from THE BODY SHOP like I said, we're not nice to our face and body while traveling, this year except for Australia, I traveled in what we can call Cold countries...between Scotland and Ireland, my hands had a pretty rough time around!!
But to come clean, I basically bought it because it smells really really good, and it is 30ml so I can have it in my hand bag during the flight, but it doesn't prevent this cream from protecting and moisturizing my poor hands!

FOUNDATIONS

Then for my foundation, I use the BBcream+BLUR from GARNIER I took it in light shades because as you can see I've got a pretty fair skin, I really like this BB creams because as well as being a moisturizer, it is also a concealer and blend with your skin, to leave you with a flawless skin.

After that, to give my face a little bit of color during the summer, I put on a SEPHORA powder, it is named BRONZING POWDER.
When you open it at first it looks really dark, but that's normal, you really have to be careful not to put on too much...blend it good and you'll look like someone that's been Under the tropics sun...while in reality, you've just spent your summer under Irish rain!
Also, I love the smell of it, this powder smells like cocoa...I do love it!

EYES AND LIPS

So once I'm over with the foundation, I start with the mascara and use the SCANDALEYES mascara EXTREME BLACK from RIMMEL LONDON, that one really is my favorite, first because of the packaging...I was born two days before Halloween, so I'm kind of into those color...so black and orange...love it!
Then like it's written on it, it is extremely black, it makes my lashes darker and adds some volume.

Finally, the lipstick...it is a ROUGE SHINE ( RED SHINE) from SEPHORA, I had that one as a gift for my birthday last year and I really loved the color, at first you feel like it makes your lips dryer but the feeling doesn't last and then it is rather good, and it add some shiny color to your face when like me you choose a more natural style.

To end it all, I have a pretty natural Makeup, nice for summer and winter (just don't add the Bronzing Powder), and all this takes me five minutes each morning, sometimes three if I am in a hurry because I don't put on the Garnier Moisturizer and the Bronzing Powder... which kind of makes me look like a zombie!!

Now tell me, what is your travel makeup routine??
